Attachment Based Family Therapy Training Available:
This 3-Day Virtual Training will be held April 29-May 1, 2024 8:00am-3:30pm PST
Description: Attachment Based Family Therapy is an empirically informed family therapy model specifically designed to target family and individual processes associated with adolescent suicide and depression. Tested with diverse families, including low-income and minority families, ABFT is a trust-based, emotion-focused, process-oriented brief therapy. The model is organized by five treatment tasks that provide directionality. Participants will learn how this model helps families repair interpersonal ruptures that have damaged trust and rebuild emotionally protective, secure parentโchild relationships.

DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) Training
Virtual 4-Day training April 4, 5, 8, & 9th 8am -4:30pm PDT
DBT Skills and detailed focus on suicide assessment/prevention/intervention: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a highly efficacious treatment developed by Marsha M. Linehan, PhD for multi-diagnostic, severely disordered individuals with borderline personality disorder and other problems of emotion dysregulation. Recent studies have shown that DBT skills, when provided in the context of a comprehensive DBT program, are highly effective at reducing suicidal behaviors and improving treatment outcomes.
*ย This option may be preferable if the goal for most attendees will not be to implement a full DBT program at their respective practices.
*ย This would not involve an application process or same level of prerequisite reading and homework as the CITI training.
